With more than three decades of experience, Dr. Jeffrey Hermen is a talented dentist near The Villages who patients continue to entrust with their smile. Making relationship-building and collaboration key components of his dental office, he and his team deliver one-of-a-kind service and care in the area.
Growing up, Dr. Hermen faced many dental issues. With enlarged, misaligned teeth, he struggled with his bite and dental decay. Undergoing orthodontic treatment for five years, he asked a lot of questions and became fascinated by the work being done to address his smile.
While it might seem as if he grew up to immediately pursue dentistry, though, this was not the case. Since most of his family worked in the oil industry, he decided to follow in their footsteps. However, while working as a landman, he thought back to his interest in dentistry. Opting to make a switch, he completed the necessary courses required to enroll in dental school.
After attending Oklahoma City University and the University of Oklahoma for his dental school prerequisites, he enrolled at The OU College of Dentistry and achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Since then, he has pursued additional training in orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. He is even an Invisalign Certified Provider and member of a monthly study club that focuses on the challenges dentists face when providing patient treatment.
He is also actively involved in the Oklahoma Dental Association and served as a board member of the Oklahoma County Dental Society for more than 20 years.
When he’s not changing lives in the treatment chair, you’ll often find Dr. Hermen with his wife and two grown children. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, hiking in the mountains, fly fishing, and snow skiing. He also spends his time engaging in oil painting; in fact, some of his artwork is hanging in our lobby!
“I have gone to Dr Herman for many years. He has had the same staff for many of those years! He is an excellent dentist and has navigated a lot of different types of issues I have had in a professional and personal caring manor. I appreciate all of the staff as well!!!”

Becoming a dentist requires 7+ years of extensive training and studying. The first step is obtaining an undergraduate degree. From there, the aspiring dentist needs to be accepted to an accredited dental school in the U.S. Then, they must complete extensive in-classroom and hands-on training to earn their Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or a Doctor of Dental Sciences (DDS) degree.
While all of these accomplishments are impressive on their own, there’s more to do. In fact, to maintain their license, dentists need to complete continuing education hours each year. The extremely passionate and dedicated ones, like our very own Dr. Hermen, also earn additional accolades, like becoming an Invisalign Certified Provider.
You might be surprised to hear this, but there are several factors that impact the price, including if you need new X-rays taken. It’s also worth noting that whether or not the patient has dental insurance also plays a role because, if they do, then they likely won’t have to pay for anything out-of-pocket.
With all of that said, the average price in the United States is between $200 and $350. If you are interested in getting an estimate of the cost of your next visit, don’t hesitate to give us a call! That way, we can learn more about your dental needs, review the financial solutions available, and answer any remaining questions you have.
There are a lot of myths surrounding dentistry. Perhaps one of the biggest ones is that it’s expensive. The truth is that what’s really costly is neglect. That’s why it’s so important to prioritize preventive care and get the restorative treatments you need when you first realize that something is wrong. From there, our dental team near The Village can help you navigate the financial side of your care. In fact, we welcome dental insurance and CareCredit flexible financing, so we can work with almost any budget!
